A comprehensive solution for fleet management, offering Driver Safety, GPS Tracking, and ELD Compliance in one easy-to-use platform.

ELDs record several key driver status designations to track duty hours accurately. The possible designations are:
  • OFF: The driver is off duty and not performing any work-related activities.
  • SB: The driver is in the sleeper berth, resting or taking a break.
  • D: The driver is actively driving the vehicle.
  • ON: The driver is on duty but not currently driving, such as during vehicle inspections or while waiting for dispatch. Additionally, the ELD logs the driver's location (city and state) whenever there is a status change

Yes, smartphones (Android/iPhone) and other wireless devices can function as ELDs, as long as they meet the required technical specifications outlined by the ELD Rule. To confirm if a specific device qualifies, you can refer to the FMCSA’s list of registered ELDs.

An ELD (Electronic Logging Device) automatically captures and records a driver's hours of service and related data. By connecting to the vehicle’s engine, it tracks the engine's status, vehicle movement, miles traveled, and engine hours. This data is accessible to law enforcement through the device's display, printouts, or electronically, to verify compliance with HOS regulations.

The ELD Mandate was enforced starting December 18th, 2017, requiring all affected drivers and carriers to install either an ELD or an AOBRD in their vehicles. After December 16th, 2019, AOBRDs were no longer compliant, and only ELDs were permitted for regulatory compliance. Fleets still using AOBRDs are no longer meeting ELD mandate requirements.

Yes, the Brevo ELD system is fully compliant with the FMCSA's Electronic Logging Device (ELD) mandate. The FMCSA’s ELD mandate requires drivers and carriers to use an ELD to record Hours of Service (HOS). This rule took effect on December 18th, 2017, and after December 16th, 2019, AOBRDs were no longer acceptable. Brevo ELD meets these compliance requirements and is fully compatible with FMCSA regulations, ensuring your fleet stays compliant.
